okay seriously i've washed my windows and windshield especially about 8 times already and it was still a mess. so i went out and bbought the windex window cleaner for cars. I tried it out and it worked for the most part...but i'm still seeing streaks when i back it out into the sun...WTC! ><. i think it's the dirty droppings from the trees. they're a dirty white that look like dried water but im not sure i think that's why it keeps leaving streaks because im smearing all tht stuff around...

any tips? :[

clean the window again use a microfiber towel. and then get rain-x window treatment. let it dry to a haze and then buff it out and there shuldnt be anymore streaks. that and also the rain x treatment will help in the rain, making it bead off without having to use much of the wipers

The Guru

If you want to prevent streaks, dont use Windex. Switch to Stoners Invisible glass cleaner. Never a single streak!

And to keep it clean, try to park indoors, haha. Its basically a law of the universe: if your car is clean, a bird will poop on it.

^yep, get a microfiber towel that's made for glass cleaning, those are tightly woven.

The most important thing is using a clean towel, because anything that's carrying dirt will leave streaks.

If you want to be even more detailed, grab some newspaper and brush it over the glass after cleaning. This will eliminate the streaks that could be left behind.

TIP after cleaning your car with a bucket wash, use a squeegee detailing blade over the glass to remove excess water, then use the above steps.

^yep just make sure your cleaner is ammonia free when using the clay bar on your glass.

The clay will remove tree sap and other things very easily.

well it's hard to park indoors since i work at the city pool ><. i try to avoid the trees though. and is that white crap that comes from it tree sap? because i always thought that was the yellowish ooze from the inside of the tree bark.
