SqMK Reg'd: Dec 31, 1969 Ultimate Window Washer	Hey friends, This thread is basically just a progress notice in how I am doing with the new forums. I've logged so much time in developing the new forums, it's disgusting, but it'll be worth it. There are no sites out there using their own written forums, so you better thank me for writing this stuff. YourSciontC and ScionLife use already available forum software, which is known to be slow and taxing on servers. I take pride in writing everything myself so that it is as efficient and optimized for the servers I own, and so that new features can be added in record times!!! Here is the list of stuff that I need to complete before the new forums can go live: - Design / images: organize the forums and make them pretty with images, etc. - Forum options: Signature, auto subscribe, auto bbcode, auto sig, email options Some new stuff that is already done for the new forums. This list is for the NEW forums, these will not be implemented in the old forums (what you are using now). Anything new that isn't available in the current forum system will be added here: - Post Previews: You can now see what your post looks like prior to posting it. - Post Edit history: You can see who and when someone last edited your post. - Thread/Post delete confirmations: No more accidental thread / post deletions! Mod only! - Ability to post new replies in locked thread. Mod only! - Get list of recent threads with no replies. Do your part: Donate to Club Scion tC!

It's the thing that determines the 'related threads' on each thread. It will also be the search database that will power the forums search (and it's also powering the pm search, although it's unfinished). Tokenizing 300,000 'articles' takes a while, but once it's all done, search should be very fast and relevant. Do your part: Donate to Club Scion tC!
