Scion Camp Out 2 @ Rye Playland

The event of the summer - Scion Camp Out 2 is set for August 9-10 at Rye Playland in Rye, NY!

When:
August 9-10, 2008

What:
A favorite event of many Scion owners who attended last year, Camp Out 2 will again feature TWO consecutive days of fun and activities. This year, we''re taking over the historic and fun grounds of PLAYLAND in Rye, NY. Located right off of I-95, just north of New York City, Playland will serve as the ultimate playground for Scion owners on August 9-10. Over two dozen roller coasters and other amusement park rides, a beach, a pool, and other fun are a natural part of this scenic waterfront amusement park. Of course, it wouldn''t be a Scion event if we didn''t throw in our own fun and games – and we''ve got plenty in store, including the return of our big screen movie night!

The list of activities include:

Saturday:

Just a quick note about Camp Out registration to help clear any confusion.

For all who have registered - regardless if you got an email just thanking you for registering or if you got the "Congratulations, you're in.." email - you are registered for the event (you're in).

The email was updated from the generic "thank you" message but wasn't updated in the system in time.

Also - some of you haven't been getting our emails - those of you with Yahoo or AOL accounts may have the most problems. If you're not sure if you're registered for the event and may have email issues, please feel free to call us at 718 279 2202 to confirm.

As of today, we're already well past the halfway point of available spaces but still have room - so if you haven't registered yet, please do it as soon as you can.

 Has anyone ever been to rye playland? I haven't been there since I was a kid.

Are there actual camp grounds / grassy area or are we going to be pitching tents in the parking lot like at etown?

 i've been there last yr. it's right on the water, people can go rent row boats and stuff, you can probably fit over 3000-4000 people in the campground area and the parking lot is p robably a good 5000 cars big. the rides arent all that great but there are some really really good ones. Some just scare me cause they look old :/ but the games are a blast there too. It's gonna be an awesome time.
