front license plate

 So i've been looking at some pictures around here
and saw that some cars took off the front license plate.
I closely looked at mine and saw that the frame was actually
screwed into the bumper. In order to take this off
and not show the dam screw mark if i'm correct, Do i need to get a new body kit or something? Hope you guys can help me out. thx

 Fist you need to find out if its legal to have it off in your state. Some states require a front tag where others don't. Ikona (formerly Delta Customs) sells color matched bumper plugs. There's a thread is the sales section here.

 well the state of california requires u to have a front license plate thats if u were issued 2 plates and if u do then u might as well find a place for ur front plates.. if the cops wanna be serious bout it i think its a fine of $100 for failure to put front plates or somthin like that. but its on u. i have to cuz in im in the military and these guys here are crackin down on alot of things.. tints, loud exhaust * i dont know y they dont pull over harleys and trucks*, excessive noise pollution.. its gay.. haha.. so its really on u.

i havnt heard of anyone gettin pulled over for no front plates. but u can get a parking ticket for no front plates.. just ask andino him and his friend got one when we were at a meet gettin somthin to eat and came back there was a ticket. it didnt cost him much then gettin pulled over.. haha. it was a fix it ticket..

What is the chance of getting pulled over

if the LED lights for the back license plate is too bright?

 I've never heard of it happening for light too much light output, only for too little or the wrong color.

 LED's is fine. actually helps the cops see ur plates better haha.. but different color other then white or yellow.. a good chance u can get pulled over for it.. just like head lights or any other lights on ur tc. side markers only yellow or white (i think white) same goes with head lights so when u get ur HID's let them heat up before u leave ur parking lot. break lights (only red from what ive read) no under glows when ur driving.

 Screw marks aren't actually that bad. Mines is only really an eyesore up super close.

Don't take off the front plate if you don't want to bring attention to yourself. For the plugs, order them from iKona if he's not still super backed up on orders.

I took mine out and put the ikona bumper plugs. my plate is clearly visible through my windshield, so I havent had a problem yet.

 Or you could put some JDM flavor on your tC and get some angled front license plate brackets. I slapped on one my car so I wouldn't have to worry about getting pulled over. Guam police are trying to copy Cali's laws when it comes to cars :frown: Damn cali..............

Now you have. I got pulled over for not having a front plate displayed in Texas (where I still live). Didn't get a ticket, mainly because I zip tied it to my grill (where it has been for two years now) on the spot with the cop there.

I use to have a link to a company that sells a bracket that clips or bolts on to the front lower grill.. I'll have to find it again.

Damn that sucks. I haven't had any trouble with no plate in front so far with me and I was hoping HPD didn't care but I guess I'll be putting my plate back in the fron when I head back
