 i am getting ready to purchase a 2008 tc and i have some pretty decent equipment as far as subs, amp, and speakers and was wondering if the upgraded headunit is worth while.... im sure i could get something better for cheaper aftermarket but i would like to keep the factory look

 I Love it, it has the aftermarket look. You can switch between colors for night driving orange or blue. Nice choice of graphics/backround it has an ipod button and you control it like a real ipod using the knob. Over all I wouldnt trade mine.

 but hows the sound quality with the after market amps and speakers? can you make any audio adjustments beyond just bass and treble?

 I used to have the HU. It is pretty good with a lot of options for adjusting the sound. However, I think for the price you pay you could get a much better one
