I think they're both the same thickness but Progress' bar has 3 settings whereas TRD has only 2.

They are both decent sways. I'd give the edge to Progress.

Either way, any thicker/stiffer rear sway will be better than flimsy wobbly stock.

I have TRD and I'd say the track setting is perfect for street driving.

Get the TRD and put it on Track setting. I've been driving like that for about 40k miles. It's great!

I'm not a big fan of Progress' products. Their coilovers rust like crazy and I think the sway bar does too.

The Guru

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Progress bars come with new endlinks and polyurethane bushings.

I'll be getting one of these as soon as I can afford it, haha.

from what i read, the progress comes with better endlinks. doesn't the trd uses the stock endlinks which is a little small?

^^^^you two guys are corect. I have the progress and it is awsome. Do this experiment if you can.

Stand the stock swaybar up on end and put all you weight on it and watch it bend. Try this with the TRD I did and it bent a little. I also tried this with the Progress...no bending. I weigh about 190 and it held me pretty good. The thing that sold me is the beefier endlinks compared to the tiny endlinks you put on the TRD. IMO progress or nothing. Plus the TRD is overpriced.

TRD is overpriced. I worked at the dealership when I bought mine and managed to buy it for $129 directly at the parts department.

If I were to go back in time and only have a choice between Progress and TRD, I would have picked Progress. (as well as their springs)

THE SHADOW

I got my TRD bar for 140 shipped a while ago and have it on the track setting. Feels great and I have had no complaints. My endlinks are good to go still after about 30-40K.

I picked up my Progress off ebay for 125 or so. I went with this over the TRD for the additional setting and the new endlinks. Def a great purchase!

I had the TRD rear sway and it was decent but I'd go with the Progress bar just because it has 3 settings. As for the end links, stock units should be just fine.

Hotchkis > TRD & Progress

Not that I've tried TRD or Progress, I just can't even entertain the idea that they are better than the Hotchkis bar I have installed.

Hotchkis is overkill for street... Especially when you have to install the FRONTS which is a pain.

I wouldn't trade it for TRD or Progress. EVAR.

Besides, overkill... that's a matter of opinion

I love it. And, I only have the rear one on at the moment. I haven't bothered to put the front one on yet.

Having driven a tC that has Progress vs my TRD, I would choose Progress.

However the greatness over TRD isn't so great that it owns, either way getting TRD or Progress is a HUGE improvement.

its not a pain if you have access to a lift. i have the hotchkis set now and it is not overkill.
