Different shocks/struts in front than rear?

Hey guys,

One of my rear TRD struts blew, and I can't replace just one, everywhere I've called told me I would have to buy a whole brand new set of 4. Warranty is void because it's been over 1 year.

So I was wondering, since it was just one of my rears that blew, would I be able to replace just the two rear struts with Tokico rear struts? I would then have TRD struts in the front, and Tokico struts in rear...all with TRD lowering springs. Is this possible?

Won't cause any negative effects but you may notice a slight handling difference between the two on different road conditions.

Ugh

So they shipped me just ONE Tokico rear strut when I ordered two and I won't be getting the other one for another week or so...

Would it be ok if I just replaced ONE for the time being? Or should I just wait till I get the second one...I kinda need my car to work heh

Fail. Are these front or rear struts? I have a full set of OEM ones and I live in NJ too (near you I think) so I can lend you a couple first.

They shipped me one rear tokico strut...i have one rear blown trd strut. I was thinkin that I should probably replace BOTH rears instead of just one. I have TRD struts with TRD lowering springs all around

Nah, dont worry about the lending thing, thanks though

Yeah you should replace both.

Dunno why I haven't seen you around before. I work in Warren on Tuesdays.
