Hello

I purchased the Kenwood DDX6019 a LONG time ago and I've been lagging to post up a few pics.

The only negative about this unit, in my opinion, is that there are only a few ugly backgrounds you can choose. But since I plug in my Zune, I don't mind so much anymore.

Here's how the radio screen looks like. All touchscreen and fairly basic. I wish there was a little bit more color/design.

It's fairly bright during the day because I changed the colors and brightness. It can be set up to sync with the car's lights so that when you turn on your headlights the screen automatically dims.

Here's the main menu of my Zune. I drilled a hole in the back of the small compartment beneath the AC controls in order to get my AV cable to the back and plug it in through the AV IN cable. After that, I got to my Zune and choose the TV Out option and it displays on my screen.

Playing Jason Mraz on my car. Everything is controlled from the Zune but it's displayed on the screen.

You can see my AV cable going from the Zune to the back.

It fits very well and the cover comes down completely without scratching the head unit. There's a little space on the sides (bout an inch) and it can be covered but I didn't feel like installing those side brackets.

The Movie playlist. I have the 80gb Zune so I fit around 3k songs and I have 62 movies at the moment with approx 3 gigs left on it.

I set up the car charger inside my compartment beneath my arm rest and have it go under the seat and come up right next to where the Zune is located so everything looks very clean.

I don't think I can live without a screen in my car anymore! I tried using an iPod but unfortunately iPod only does a TV Out when you select a movie so I couldn't control my playlist on the screen.

I chose this one over Pioneer, Alpine and Eclipse because I was going to add the Garmin Navi (Kenwood KNA-G510) but ended up running out of money so I haven't added it yet...but I will soon =)

Hope this has encouraged you to go get your new head unit!
Feel free to ask me question/pictures.

Really Nice setup. I just wish they made the adapter for the Zune to control through the stereo. Looks like my Zune is going to get the can we in get my SW 08.

Nice. How is that connecting to the Zune? Through the RCA Audio/Video cables to the VIDEO setting, or through a special connector?

Get that Kenwood KNA-G510! I have it and it's an AWESOME GPS unit!

(I have the Kenwood Excelon DDX8017 btw)

Looks good

I'm not sure if it would work in the car, but my friend has a little docking station for his Zune that comes with a remote. That might make it a little easier to control being that they don't integrate with most headunits. I'm not sure if the docking station could be mounted and use a 12v power source though. I'll ask him.

I'm connecting the Zune through regular AV cables.

I have the dock at home, but I thought it best to not install it in the car since I'm not exactly sure where I would place it and didn't want the whole world to know that I connected a Zune in there and bring suspicion about what kind of head unit I have and then find my car with a broken window and stolen head unit later on.
