Just use tape and news paper to cover the area, just sand it than use caliper paint. wont take more than an hour. |

just get a brush paint kit. No need for masking The 4 LED_Headz: Ed (etli), Trung (SquallLHeart), Alan (O5_TRD_tC), and Paul (Dakine) |

I taped mine off completely with no-residue tape. I sanded each caliper down and then used engine block paint. The paint is extremely durable and gives a very thick coat and deep color. Some prefer caliper paint because thats what it is meant for, but I like the color selection you get out of engine block paint. Spray on 1-2 light coats, then follow on with 2 more thicker coats. Let each coat sit for roughly 5 minutes before applying the next coat. This is how I did mine anyway, and I love how it turned out. ![]() The SEARCH feature on the site works, I promise. USE IT!!! I prefer red or blue for a color like that. Im just not a fan of gold rims or gold calipers. Black would look pretty damn good too, but would stick out less. ![]() The SEARCH feature on the site works, I promise. USE IT!!! "I almost numchucked you, you dont even reallise!!" -Will Ferrell- |

gold and silver together just doesn't do it for me, but thanks for the suggestion. i haven't though of red, but that might be hot! my led theme is blue, thats why i was thinking blue, but black would be a nice low profile choice. beware of the mad sciontist ! ask me your car audio and electronics questions!! |

Then blue or black are your obvious choices. OR, go with a blue/silver 2 toned caliper job, that would look good too. ![]() The SEARCH feature on the site works, I promise. USE IT!!! "I almost numchucked you, you dont even reallise!!" -Will Ferrell- |

I personally would go with the solid blue. The duplicolor engine paint I bought has a real dark blue to it. When a few coats are applied, and a clear coat over it, its very good looking. If you look at my profile, I have pictures of the calipers up there. ![]() The SEARCH feature on the site works, I promise. USE IT!!! Hahaha, please dont do that!!! I honestly think the solid dark blue is your best option. It will most likely match the LED setup you have the best. ![]() The SEARCH feature on the site works, I promise. USE IT!!! "I almost numchucked you, you dont even reallise!!" -Will Ferrell- |

I sanded with 1000 grit, it was a little less than what I should have I think. It was enough to clean off all the dirt and grime "not that there was much build up, only 15k miles on my car when I did it". It took a LONG time though, get something a little rougher. I did not prime it, didnt figure it would be needed. The color came out good without it, and had some good base layers to hold the heavier coats on well. ![]() The SEARCH feature on the site works, I promise. USE IT!!!
