Hey CSTCers,
Over the past few months we have had a lot of new members on the Clubsciontc forums. A few of them have shown considerable amount of artistic talent(Photoshop & other digital art).
clubsciontc.com would like to announce another contest
So get your thinking caps on and get ready to blow peoples minds away with your talent!
Contest Rules
*Contest officially starts June 10th(right after the 3Bspec contest), the image will be provided. The image has a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels and can be reduced down to 1024x768, any images below 1024x768 will not be accepted.
*contest will have a deadline of July 20th
*ONLY 3 submissions per artist (user) will be allowed, no more. Once submitted the entry cannot be changed or modified in any way. Work will be submitted to a moderator

*You may alter the image in any style you design and at least 33% of the subject must remain, if judges can't tell what it is, your submission is void.
*only Adobe products will be allowed to alter images, computer generated 3-d images, or any auto-generated effects from non-Adobe products are not allowed. (no MS Paint..
)
*only original works created by the posting clubsciontc.com user may be submitted. Any attempts to cheat or copy from another website will not only be rejected, but also humiliated. (yes we like to browse through deviantart.com too..)
*any contestant must be able to prove how they created the image if asked by judges/admin and be able to show proof if questioned, failure to do so will result in forfeit
*no submissions will be accepted after the deadline.
*the panel of judges for this contest will be clubsciontc.com moderators and admin + Orin, BearZ, Vicious
*these contest rules are subject to change at any time and will be edited on this forum post when changed.
*you may create an image and display it immediately, however, each time an image is displayed, it will count as a submission, you may not display, edit, remove and redisplay. only 3 submissions per artist/user, exploitation of this will result in contest forfeit.
*All images will be judged based on these categories:
cleanness of image
complexity
Originality
Like last time the CSTC users get to vote on a poll system to help decide the winner!
*judges/admin retain the right to make exceptions.

it aint bout prizes man.. its all bout talent and skills..if it comes to it. also creativity.
wish i had the photography skills.. the only artistic thing i can do is with a pencil and a sketch book.. cant wait to see all ur guys finished products..

There will be multiple prizes for multiple levels of winning.

the deadline is going to be extended when prizes are posted.
winning this contest does not mean the user will be given a badge, the photo altering badge is reserved for users that would like to donate their talents on a regular basis

when you change the color on the car. the rear top part stays white even if the color is dark. how do you avoid that? or am i just doing it wrong?

There are a lot of different ways to color the car, I'll list a couple:
control + U and adjusting the hue
add a new layer and change the layer property to something like color or overlay.
I would suggest working in layers because if you mess up, you can always change the extra layer without messing up the original photo.

The tutorials start from beginner level, just don't jump into it, if you're serious you can learn the basics in a few days.
You can become advanced in a few weeks.
