Thanks for checking this out guys I don't know what to do. I installed a head unit and now her gauge cluster does not light up! Nor do the HVAC controls. So I think I blew a fuse. I checked the fuse panel to the left of the steering wheel aswell as the main under the hood. Is there anywhere else where I can find this illusive fuse? I found the error in my wiring. In the wiring harness out of the head unit labled dimmer posative and stupid me connected it to the car wiring harness that said negative. The only issue is that there is no posative comming out of the car harness and no negative out of the head unit. So right now I just disconnected the two wires and assume I blew a fuse. Please help I feel like an ass. im thinking if the wire coming out of the cars harness says dimmer negative, maybe i should ground it out.

Worst case scenario...grounding a hot wire is death to a circuit. Possibility that the gauges and HVAC are cooked. The fuses should have blown though, which is making this a bit more confusing. Where's some electricians in here?

I have this same issue. I installed a HU in my girls Corolla and now the Guage cluster won't light up?! The HVAC works fine and I am stumped. I feel your pain bro. Try to do something nice for your girl...and this happens, LOL!

im thinking about grounding out the negative dimmer wire coming from the hu and connecting the positive dimmer wire coming from the to a power line. I think the stock head unit completes the circuit so I have to circumvent it somehow. What do u guys think?
