I Turned My Armrest Into A Cooler

on the list of things to do when you have too much time? Turn your armrest into sealed cooler.

I come to discover that beneath the bolts that hold the armrest into place is nothing, it's a hole that drops straight to pavement so it's perfect for draining water.

I used quick roof/edead to seal the walls of the armrest cubby and sealed the top door with special rubber insulator to guard against any splashing. The whole thing was tested first by filling the whole thing with water and the plug and seals past with flying colors.

I just remove the plug and the water drains to the pavement.

I'm drinking the icy beverage right now, works perfect even in the hot sun.

I thought about the AC system, but I didn't have a reasonable way to do it. If I spend more time I probably could use the AC with some tubing.

on a side note, I did without my 12 volt outlet, I never used it anyway.

thanks for the compliments everyone, I just drained the ice about 20 minutes ago and it looks like my car is peeing.

This will come in handy for long road trips. (the cooler that is )
