MacGuy87 Chief Mechanic	So, I am considering a new shift knob. Does the stock shiftknob just screw off? is there anything I should know about shopping or replacing a shiftknob on my tC? 2006 Scion tC

Mayo Rockville Maryland, US *The Guru*	auto: 8mm x 1.25 manual: 12mm x 1.25 If you can, try to get the size for your car. They are the twist off/on. The universal ones, like mine, are very annoying to put on. NewJersey Kendall Park New Jersey, US Vehicle Designer	i have a a shift knob with the little allen keys that tighten up around the shifter, doesnt screw on... it comes loose all the time and is possibly one of the most annoying things ever.

Thats what I have on my other ride, I got the CF looking shifter from Auto Zone lol.. universal really does kinda suck lol.. I wouldnt suggest them, as I've seen, I'd rather have one that screws on! =D 2006 Scion tC

tC_vixen New Jersey, US	I just finished installing my new shift knob.. it was a pain in mi arse! the new knob required little scews to tighten the knob to the shifter. CLICK TO DONATE & HELP MAKE THIS WONDERFUL SITE OF OURS BETTER!

I hate those kind, most, if not all, universal shift knobs are designed like that. I'm getting direct thread size for a simple screw on knob. 2006 Scion tC
