08 Headunit in a 05 tC

 Just wondering before i go waste money on it. Will the the 08 premium headunit fit in a 05 tC. I know after 05 they changed all the headunits but are the connections in the back still the same or will i have to buy a new harness as well.

 Im not sure how the 05 headunit works but the 08 has 2 plugs for power one for the ipod hook up and one for the speakers. Hope that helps

 No reason to buy another stock radio if you want to upgrade. Just get an aftermarket. I just got a Pioneer FH-P8000BT for 230.00 from ikesound.com. It has bluetooth, a usb port, ipod conectability, 4v preamps, and the ability to turn off the internal amp for true sound quality.

 Just a wiring hrness which you can pick up at bestbuy or a local shop. Can also order it from crutchfield.

Here's the ikesound link: http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/7091 I found they had the best price when I was shopping around. I'm very pleased with it so far. I picked up a 4gb thumdrive and ran a USB extender into the glovebox. I have like 50-60 albums on it and don't have to keep a bunch of cds laying around. (I'm not an ipod fan)

Install was very easy. The only thing that took me a minute to find was a ground location. Its on the right hand side in the passenger footwell right behind the carpeting on the side of the center dash section. The only thing that I have to do something about is that the unit is a little skinnier then the stock unit so there is a small gap on the sides after its installed. definitely not a dealbreaker.

I'll probably have a couple pics up this weekend after I clean my dirty girl up. People always give me shit if the car isn't pristene in the pics. :twisted:
