Does anyone know if i bought this head unit would my cover still close? its the JVC KW-AVX810. Also does anyone know about the wiring harness and instalation components for it? I have a 2008 Tc and I need to know if i can actually install this.

That's a very nice unit. I was thinking about getting it myself. The only complaint is the bad navigation between menus, but I wouldn't consider that a deal breaker.

Ya, I like it too, i just need to know if it will fit in my space, with the lid still closing. (Well maybe it wont matter cuz it has a detachable face plate, but i still want my door there and i want it to close!!!

You'll need to drill some new holes to recess the HU more

yeah... you might need to drill new holes into the bracket, but nothing too difficult.

(you'd just need a drill at that point)

a drill and the proper size drill bit. it's pretty easy to do

Ok. I got the drill part, which holes are u talking about need to be drilled? also, would he door still close? And again, what parts do i need to purchse to install it?

No parts need to be purchased. New holes need to be drilled into the stock bracket. After you drill these new holes, the door will be able to close
