Tire rack is the best price I've been able to find them as well. I'm hoping that local places will run a good memorial day sale. That would probably be your best bet, but you'll have to wait about a month.

Best price I've found so far is 181 p/tire through Merchants. This will beat Tirerack's price after they include shipping of 37.00.

I'm still looking...

Sorry, shoulda mentioned sizing I'm looking for is 235/40/18. I'm assuming that is what the OP is looking for as well. That's very tempting though. Maybe I'll switch back down to the 225's. The rims I'm getting are 18x8 though and I figured the extra tread width would be nice. I'm running 235's now on my 7.5's and have been very pleased with the results aside from the slight drop in acceleration.

235's are an odd size tire. You won't find many in that size and those that are will be expensive. 225/40R18 should be fine for you.

^^That's what I'm finding out. I just spoke with my tire guy, and he recommended against going with a 225 on an 8" rim. He said that the 235 is the optimal sive and that a 245 would be fine as well but we'd need to test fit since I'm lowered. Those are even more expensive even though they are a more standard size (BMW's )Looks like I'm just going to have to suck it up. You gotta pay to play...

Last option is Costco but I have to wait for them to open to get an estimate.

Try Edgeracing.com or discounttiredirect.com

Honestly, 225 is fine on 8" wide wheels. They're optimal for 7.5" wide but you can run them on anywhere from 7" to 8"

If all you need is 225/40/18's then the discounttiredirect.com is probably the best price. That's a standard size tire for 18" wheels. Since I'm getting wider rims, I need wider tires. What width rim are you getting?

^All depends on the offset of the rim.

ok im not too good with offset measurements but lets say something with an offset that makes the wheel sit almost flush with the fender but still sticking in a little bit. Could i fit an 8.5?

It all depends on the wheel size and offset. You can't run an 18x8 +35 offset and run 245 profile tires. What wheels are you looking at? The more flush you want it to sit, the more problems you'll have with wider wheels/tires.
