Well i have been poundering the thought of getting some spacers for my ride. I want my aftermarket wheels to sit flush with my fenders without rubbing. I know i know i should have gotten the right offet with my rims , but i brought them on a impulse buy....and am very happy with them just want them flush. My rims are 18x7 with a 40 offset wrapped in Nexxon 225/40R18 tires on with TRD springs. So my question is what size spacers would be good and what brand and cheapest place to get them.....i want hub centric spacers fo sho!

I also have a question regarding the space on the back of the rim as shown in the pix below.......

Mine does not have that .........is that going to be a problem if i get spacers?

So i need some feed back from my fellow clubsciontC brothas.........
I would realy appreciate it................

Ichiba spacers are the way to go. They are made correctly for our cars. I would think a 10 or 15 mm would suit your needs. Your just on TRD springs, or do you have the struts as well?

Would that be 10 or 15mm all the way around? Wouldnt i go a little more in the rear? And i yes i am on just TRD springs. But what about that pix above my wheel...it does not have that gap between the holes is that going to be a problem?

The gaps shouldn't be a problem. Those look like they are for weight reduction. As for the size, that's going to have to be your call. You'll be able to determine how far it'll stick out. 20mm is roughly an inch, so use that as your guide. Keep in mind that if you go too wide, if you decide to go lower you'll have tyo remove the spacers or get smaller ones.

All depends on what you are going for. Some Porsches that come into the shop get them and yes, they look good...but even the techs don't recommend them being installed. It's nice for looks, but even with longer studs, it's still more stress on the hub and lugs. Offset rims is the way to go for the wider look.

Complaining is futile when you supported the victory.

You won't want or need spacers with those rims. 18x8 +32 is good enough

edit: I wouldn't go more than 5mm because that's more stress on your hubs and studs.

Car is being put on hold until further notice. Work will continue pending on if i get the new toy i want or not. I will keep you all posted.

UPDATE ON THE TUNE. It went ok but a few little issues that are causing my performance to be less than expected have shown themselves. Now I have to resolve them when I get the chance and it will be back to PTuning for the finishing touches.

with the hight that i have it sitting and the width of my tires my front will rub over extremely hard bumps. you know the ones that are at like the begining of a brige from the snowplows digging the crap out of the roads. normal driving with good roads it doesn't.

You'll want to rub a 225/40 and you may rub a little over large bumps

Ok a few more question>
1. Which brand is better H&R or Ichiba spacers?
2. Where is the cheapest place i can get some 15mm for the front and 20mm for the rear? I mesured my gap and the front was about a 1/2 an inch and the rear was about an 1 inch. So do you think 15mm for the front and 20mm for the rear would be just right?

thank you
