Installing 08 iPod HU into a 06 tC

 So I just upgraded my stock 06 HU to a 08 iPod HU. Found out that I dont have the
one cable that I need to connect iPod. (PT 546-21061) Im ordering the cable that I need tonight but had another question...When my guy installed the HU last night the AUX button didnt work. Has anyone else had this problem when the iPod is not connected to the center console? Any ideas?

 you gotta make sure to plug in all the cables into the HU

and then also you need to have something plugged into the AUX before you can switch the HU to the AUX.
