To startoff I would like to thank Doc I for his incredible poducts. They are unmatched in price, and quality. You have made me a loyal fan, I tip my hat to you. Okay lets get to the review.

I purchased Doc I's Extreme Gearswitcher package wich comes with 50% reduction on throws, and your choice of height reduction (between 1"-3") I chose 2.5", a shiftknob, cage risers, and cable bushings. Now Doc offers various package this one, (the extreme) comes with the shifter already installed in the cage. I chose this becuase I didn't have the necessay tools to complete the othes. Now the good pat is that Doc returns you money if you return you shifter/cage (depending on your package) with 30 days. Now thats a deal. This package runs for 270$ but if you retun you cage and old shfiter he returns 80$ so it comes out to 190$ shipped.
Now like any othe smart buyer i did my research and while looking for my shortshifter I ran across the TRD Quick Shifter. Now this looked enticing but further research revealed it weaknesses. The TRD shifter has a MSRP of 238.98 (trdsparks) + shipping. Now that pretty expensive but theres another fact that I didnt like. The TRD Shifter had no height reduction. It has a throw reduction of 30% but I wanted a shorted shifter with reduction and TRD did not offer that. Now there are others such as TWM but what truely got me to buy Docs was the option to choose your height reduction. Who could pass that up?
Now instalation was a breeze (besides the fact that i was clueless to what bushing cables were for and were they were installed.)Anyone can do this. Its is just disconecting, unbolting, and then rebolting and reconecting. The tools require are very common and most people have. Instalation should take about 1 hour if you take your time with a brake inbetween. Ofcourse it always good to have a buddy or borther in my case whenever you work on your car.For directions I used N8thegreat22 awesome DIY which can be found here
http://www.clubsciontc.co...-Short-Throw-Shifter.html
Now after I test dove it I have to admit I am in love with this thing. The throws are nice and short and the height adds a new sporty look. Now the only con i have is a very general and comon fo any shortshifter. Shortshifter require lets say more muscle to shift, but this is nothing a counterweighted shift knob or gettin used to it can fix. Its just noticeable that it require more muscle to move the shifter in general but afte time you will get acustomed to it.
So my final Verdict is that anyone who wants a short shifter should look no further than Doc I's GearShifters.Be sure to check out the video and pics. Enjoy!
Grade: A+
Cost: 190$ (270 if you dont return old shifter/cage)
Instaltion Difficulty 1-10: 2
Pros: Your choice of height reduction and 50% throw reduction
Cons: Stiffer Shifter

THE SHADOW

There's 2 shift link bushings in the engine bay. They are the two cables at the nose of the shifter when you remove the shifter housing. You replace the rubber ones with either the ones Dr. I supplies or metal ones from NST, and it reduces shift cable play.

I looked in my engine bay and saw only one pivot point on the linkage. Is that one of the spots where i put it in? Even if there's two why did it come with four bushings. (in addition to the four cage riser bushings)

Basic Install Instructions

Perhaps it's because I've made hundreds of sets, and installed dozens of them, but I just can't figure out how people have trouble figuring where they go. There's only the one option.

well what i don't understand is why the shifter would come with four bushings when i only see one linkage pivot point. or maybe theres two pivot points and its two bushing to each pivot?

There are two cables, two linkages, and if you looked at the pictures I hotlinked, you can see why there are 4 bushings.
