What hood do I want?

 So a deer literally ran over my hood the other day. That's a whole different story that I don't want to get into. It dented and scratched it up REALLY good. Lol I am going to use the money the insurance company sends my to by a new hood I think. What hood should I get? A c/f one or a fiberglass one? What style? If I do go fiberglass then I have to color match it and that costs more. Does a N/B tC look good with a black c/f hood? HELP. Lol,

 If you like the look of c/f, then it'll look fine on any color car. Its a matter of taste. I dig it, but some of my friends are always telling me to paint it. As for which one, I recommend the Kaminari one, but if you want an OEM style, I think the VIS hood comes recommended by other members of this site.

I love that Kaminari hood. It looks so sexy... I just don't know much about c/f. I love the looks but how does it hold up to the weather? I really don't know anything about it.

 Kaminari Reverse Cowl Hood would look badd ass, you can even get it in fiberglass and have it painted to match

 I've had the Kaminari c/f hood on for about a year and a half now, and it looks great. The gel coat they use is more then adequate. Nothing like the factory coat! Fitment is perfect :mrgreen:

I mean I am sure this will sound stupid but I am completely ignorant to this. Do you just wash and wax it like normal? Does the coating bead off rain? Does sunlight mess it up, or extreme heat? (I am going to Texas for a month in the summer) Does it get rock chips like the freaking bumper?

 Yeah, you just wash and wax like normal. The gel coat on mine is flawless. As long as you take care of it, it'll outlast the factory paint job.
