I'm sure it will still be good. Think about when they are shipping it. In boxes in the back of a hot metal truck. But I dunno.

well it should be fine but dont use it till it cools off again. and im shure you know to never wax in the sun. so ur good to go. if i was you i would let it cool off and do a test spot to make shure the quality of the wax isnt f"ed up.

You do know that when "normal" wax get hot or is put on a hot surface that it produces an acid which is highly corrosive that is why they recommend it be applied to a cool surface. yes i know someone here probably does it all the time and no effect yet. but in fact it is eating away at the clear coat, paint finish, etc. soon enough you will have sun spots trust me i know alot about corrosion liquids and the effects of it towards painted product its my job hahahahha
peace

to get the most from a wax, never apply it in direct sunlight.......the paint should be cool even before you apply the wax

Nu Finish is the once-a-year car polish that independent laboratory tests have proven will bead, shine, and protect for a whole year. Nu-Finish gives an all weather protection, even against road chemicals, tree sap, bird droppings, rust, corrosion and oxidation. Nu Finish is easy to use and polishes quickly with no hard rubbing or buffing. Apply in sun or shade. Nu Finish is also excellent for Fiberglass boats, recreation vehicles, motorbikes, and chrome surfaces.

Hmm true, nothings going to happen to the wax when its hot. But its what happens on the car when the car is hot, haha.

I think you might be able to get away with leaving the wax on in the heat a few times. If you have those pesky wax stains, they are removable.

But regardless of whether a wax is heat/sunlight safe, I think its sometimes just more prudent to wax in the shade. Those petroleum solvents have an easy enough time leaving the wax already, haha.

even if the wax says its safe to apply in the sun i wouldn't recommend it. for the absolute best results and easiest way to do it would be to wax in the shade with the metal nice and cool. by doing it in the shade first you don't kill yourself in the sun. then by doing it in the shade you don't have to rush as much to get it off the car before it dries to the point of turning into a royal pain in the butt. even if it is made to be used in the sun it still will have to be wipped off faster than if you used the same thing in the shade.

Car is being put on hold until further notice. Work will continue pending on if i get the new toy i want or not. I will keep you all posted.

UPDATE ON THE TUNE. It went ok but a few little issues that are causing my performance to be less than expected have shown themselves. Now I have to resolve them when I get the chance and it will be back to PTuning for the finishing touches.

Well when you live in Arizona, we don't get too much shade and your cars always going to be hot. No trees. Maybe if you have a car port. Or just take it to the car wash, drive inside the tunnel and do it. I just try to do it early in the morning or as the sun is going down.

Its best to wax in the shade, but Nu-Finish isn't a wax, its a synthetic polymer, and that's why you're ok to use it out there in the desert. Also, you can try Turtle Wax Ice. It also a polymer and clear, so it is effected even less by the sun. I'd say use the Nu Finish and do a thorough job on a cloudy day, and then use the Ice to detail as the season progresses.

I'm sold on the Nu Finish, that stuff removed spots from my paint that couldn't be removed with clay bar or Meguiars Cleaner Wax.

The golden rule with most traditional waxes:

don't do it in the hot sun

stay in the shade and it may even be helpful to keep a spray bottle of filtered water or bottled water to add moisture when you need it.

This is related to leaving liquid wax in a car when its hot out. I left Meg's 2.0 NX wax in my hatch...and it burst through the cap and was leaking/seeping down the bottle and all over my jacket and carpet. I left it in the car for a few days...I was like Oh crap!

Only wash...clay...wax in the shade and when the car is cool. You'll damage the paint if you do anything in direct sunlight. I always wait till the evening to put a good coat of wax on in the shade
