yeah man once you get all of the panels off, it should take you about 5 mins to put on. Just remember you need to knock out the rubber bushings on the bottom of the cage to make room for your risers.

doc iso description for cage bushings:

These replace the bushings under the shifter cage, and come in two heights: OEM height, to improve shifter feel and take the away the sloppiness of the factory rubber bushings, and .600", which raises the entire cage for smoother shifting with a shortened throw shifter.

How do ur new cage bushings make the shifter feeling change?? What exactly do these bushings do?

Here you go this is an install for the cage risers or Shifter Base Bushings (the purple thingys). In the DIY its not the first part, but the second part where he starts to take off the center console......if you have any questions let me know....

I added the cage risers/base bushings about 1 hour ago. Shifting feels direct, less mushy and easier.

I should have done this 2 years ago when I got my short shifter...

if you have base bushings sitting around, don't put it off, install it.
