This thread is dedicated to reviewing all the tires you have used on your cars and what you thought about their performance, quality, and durability.

I believe this thread will be very useful to members so they can easily see whats good, whats bad, and get first hand reviews on tires.

Please stick to this format when submitting a review:

- List the brand and/or manufacture
- List the size & price you paid, if they came with the car just say OEM
- List the mileage you achieved with them on
- List the category they fall under (all season, high performance, winter, etc)
- List good things you liked about the tire
- List bad things you disliked about the tire
- List a final verdict, and closing thought.. Would you recommend this tire, and a rating out of 10. Were these tires worth the price?

Giving credit where its due. I snagged this idea from a nissan/infinite car site.

Brand: Bridgestone Potenza RE92
Tire Size: 215/45ZR17
Price: $125/ea
Mileage: 20,000
Catagory: High Performance All-Season
Good: Quiet, Sticky, Good Sidewall, Good in the rain
Bad: Sucks in the snow!
Verdict: Overall, these tires lasted me a long time, and they are great for the price. I rate them a 8/10 and would recommend them.

THE SHADOW

BF Goodrich G-force T/A KDW2

225/45/17 Paid: $130.00 each

So far (summer tires) I've put about 25K on them between last summer and now.

Ultra high performance summer tire

Good things: LOTS of cornering grip, long lasting rubber compound that doesn't wear out easily at all, EXCELLENT rain traction

Bad things: A bit noisey at high speeds but that's to be expected with a larger footprint and wide outer edge blocks, a little bit of sway on the highway (again, related to wider footprint)

These are the best tires I've ever had on any vehicle and would DEFINITELY purchase them again. Very much worth the price I paid.

1-10 scale.......9.5

Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25 (winter tires)

215/45/17 Paid: $115.00 each

One winter on them so far, so about 13k as of right now.

Winter tire

Good things: Great in deep and shallow snow fall, nice cornering in all weather, very quiet, definitive footprint in snow (excellent snow pushing ability), Great wear compound

Bad things: Heavy rain is a bit on the down side for these tires, but I'm talking about downpours. Nothing else that I found.

For winter tires on a 2WD car, I would highly recommend these tires. They give you the grip you don't think you have and keep you safely in a straight line of driving.

Scale of 1-10: 10

Price: $155/ea
Mileage: 3,025
Catagory: All-season ultra-high performance
Good: very quiet, great on dry and on wet pavements

Tire Size: 245/40-R17

Good: There is not a better tire at the pricepoint, hands-down. Great dry grip, better than average in the wet. Quiet.
Bad: Nothing.
Verdict: I give them an easy 10/10 and recommend them to anyone in the market for a summer tire.

My Findings on them:
Category: Ultra High Performance All Season (UHPAS)
Brand: Bridgestone Potenza RE92
Good: They're Uni-directional
Bad: Poor wet performance, horrible snow performance, loud.
Verdict: The OEM Potenza RE92s are horrible tires - some of the worst I've ever had. Their performance in the rain is abysmal - taking a highway on-ramp at 25MPH and starting to slide does not count as good performance.
Rating: 2/10.

Avon Tech M550 A/S
Size: 215/45R17
Price: $92 Each (currently at tirerack.com)
Mileage: Approx 25k-30k miles
Category: Ultra High Performance All Season (UHPAS)
Good: Exceptional traction in wet conditions, Good in snow conditions.
Bad: Fair treadlife (Burnouts and camber caused irregular wear), can get fairly loud if treadwear is bad.
Verdict: Some of the best All-season tires you can buy. Definitely worth the money.

Falken FK452
Size: 225/45R17
Mileage: 20k miles so far with decent tread left.
Price: $125 each (installed and balanced)
Category: Sport Luxury (Max Performance Summer)
Good: VERY quiet tire, Exceptional dry handling, excellent wet handling, comfortable ride
Bad: Can be fairly pricey, No grip in the snow.
Verdict: These are my favorite summer tires - Very grippy, excellent in the rain - very hard to get these to break loose. Even after a day on the road course, they're still wearing very well and treadlife is good so far.
