Here's the thing, i have an 08 tc and have been doing some research for the Greddy Ti-C exhaust and i have notice that these things can either be a Cat back or axle back (from what i seen online). Now, i am having a hard time choosing, can anyone tell me in their own words what the difference are? for some odd reason im leaning towards the axle back, but i want to clear some things up before i buy it.

The cat-back exhaust system should be more expensive due to it coming with a mid-pipe as well as the axle-back. If you only get the axle-back, then you are just getting the muffler. I would go with the cat-back if you have the money.

i know this is an old thread but how much more is involved with the cat-back ti-C as in installation. removing oem exhaust and mid-pipe and replacing it with the greddy ti-C. any modification required i guess is what im asking. lol. i just ordered it and was wondering how quickly i could swap it out when it arrives. thanks.

Depends. Do you have a lift? If it's a bolt-on midpipe and axelback, it'll take less than an hour.

Be careful, and always ask before buying... The reason is, the Greddy Ti-C is only an axleback on our cars. So there is no such thing as a Greddy Ti-C that is cat-back. (Thats directly from a Greddy customer sales associate)

yep, it's axle-back only.

A lot of online stores will call axle-back exhausts a "catback" because of error.

Not error. Dishonest sales techniques that they can pass off as an error .... then not fix it for the next guy. They want you to compare prices to a more expensive system so you think you are getting a deal. I won't buy from a shop that has incorrect info, part years don't match car generations or when they can't give any info other than what the manufacturer has posted on their website (when it is relevant).

true, there are some online retails that put cat-back to fool people into buying something and boosting a sale.

Bad business and it hurts the retailer in the big picture.

i experienced that dishonest seller first hand. i bought the exhaust and they gladly took my money and when i didnt hear from them in regards to shipping, i questioned when i was going to get the exhaust. they just happen to not sell that product anymore. so i asked for a complete refund and thankfully i did end up getting it back after a week of waiting. you definitely have to be careful and do your homework. happy to say though that i will be getting my greddy this week and yup its the ti-C!!

Agreed. I won't buy from a company that puts this will fit a 04 and up. Cuz 2004 tC = no such thing!
