 You asking about Strup headers or just headers in general? Ive never actually heard a strup header, but its a respectable company isn't it?

I think with any header you're gonna get some rasp. Nothing a nice resonator will take care of though.

 The rasp is not caused by the header. It's caused by the muffler you're running. If you have one of the tuned sounding mufflers (i.e. TRD) you will get rasp because those do not have the dampening to deaden the rasp. I'm running a Strup header and I love it. But I do have rasp with my Tsudo exhaust because I got a big dent in the canister but once it's warm is nice and throaty as well as deep.

 I agree with Andino, your exhaust tones are gonna come from your resonators and mufflers. No matter what header you pick (Strup, DC, Megan, Alpha Works...if you can find one) are all solid choices, and you will like the increased gas milage. The bad news is no matter what you pick your exhaust is gonna sound significantly louder. Every header I've seen for the TC has NO CAT, and no matter what car, with what exhaust "If you whack the kitty off, it's gonna make some noise." And don't forget, that CEL will come on within the first mile or two after installing it...which is a whole other topic.
