Does anybody have any experience with shallow subs? Anything you could tell me would help I like the idea but nobody I know has used them.
Thanks

From my experience with subs I would stay away. The magnet for the sub is the critical part and what does all the work. I only use dual voice coilover magnet subs and they are always deeper in size due to the larger magnets. Thats just my opinion though.

i heard the new 13tw5-3 that jl has. 2.5" mounting depth, 600wrms, .8 cu/ft of mounting space required. it hit HARD.

i'm going to pick up the 12" version when it comes out. highly recommended. the 13.5" is already on several-month backorder.

^^That's kind of what I was wondering...

Those new JL's are pretty sweet though, and I've also heard good things about the swallow mount kickers.
