I have a 2008 Tc with 10,200 miles on stock tires. There maybe a possibility I might replace them during the summer so I'm doing research now. So I was wondering what are you recommendations. I have looked at tirerack.com and I see two tires I like and are decent priced.

Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season
http://www.tirerack.com/t...&partnum=145YR7F1ASXL

Continental ContiExtremeContact
http://www.tirerack.com/t...yes&partnum=145WR7CEC

I like the second tire b/c the reviews are good and the tires are cheap. Does anybody have any experience with those tires?

Please search the site before posting about tires. There are many threads open about tires and other's suggestions as well.

My personal opinion.....do NOT get Eagle F1 all season tires. I've seen them come into the shop and people complain about them with road noise, not safe cornering feel and uneven wear.
Also, Continental tires are ok (BMW uses them along with Porsche) but not that type of tread. It seems like it's an "ok" all season tire but the numbers on Tirerack can be deceiving.

EXCELLENT choice for all season performance!

**Note: for those that may not know, the 4 in the name symbolizes their use in all 4 seasons.

No, strict summer tires. They would turn into ice skates in cold weather and snow.
