I've been wanting to change my interior for awhile now.

So here is what I ordered:
Charcoal carbon fiber leather fabric (its like a dark gray color)

Alpine Type-S SPS-17C2 speakers (2 sets)

Xtreme Dynamat

2 cans of 3M spray on glue
(not pictured)
I also ordered about 20 blue LEDS which will go in all the vents, under the front seats, behind the seatbelt pillars (front and rear), in the rear cupholders/cubbys, in the front panel cubbys, and in the glovebox which will all be connected to an on/off switch.

I'm using charcoal CF leather cause it will match my Redline shifter and ebrake boot along with my armrest which is black CF leather and charcoal CF leather.

Here is some speaker work:
BEFORE:

AFTER:

I also did some work on the seatbelt pillars:

The before and after:

The rear passanger panel has leather (which was a pain in the butt) but I still have to put the 3 pieces back together.

Some finished items...

Passanger door

rear passanger panel

finished pillars w/ NBM paint (thanks to widetc )

The next pics are of the placement of the leds....

rear panels with 2 leds (1 in the cubby & 1 in the cupholder)

Passanger door (2 leds in the door cubby)

seatbelt pillar (1 led per pillar)

I took some quick pics of my trashed/dirty car.

Some more work...

My poor car...

The following are pics of work done with a dirty car. I was in a hurry to post pics so please leave the dirty car beating to a low please. I'm not a cameraman like Gardiner so forgive that too. Also if you look close in some pics you can see the new speakers installed

My completed interior (except for the front pillars)
Drivers door:

Driver side(front/back):

LOOK CLOSE... I see blue LEDS in the cupholder.

Passanger side(front/back)(...nice lookin' speakers):

Now for the long awaited LEDS. These were taken in my garage with the garage door shut and all the lights off... and my camera SUCKS cause I trashed a lot of pics.

Rear passanger panel:

Drivers seatbelt pillar:

Center waterfall vents:

Passanger vents:

Rear diamond plate floor mat with under seat lights:

Here are some pics with all my leds turned on...

Now for the daytime pics in the garage with the garage door open...
My glovebox(dirty!):

Passanger door:

Driver seatbelt pillar(I likes):

Drivers vents:

Rear drivers panel:

Well thats it for the pics. I have some leftover leather so I'll be doing the front pillars when I figure out how to remove them. I'm sure I'll still have extra so I'll see what else I can do.

LMK what you think!!

EDIT... I told people I got the leather from autotrim.com but I gave the wrong site the correct one is: yourautotrim.com

Well the project was only going to be the panels. Then I added the pillars. Then I figured if all these parts are off I guess I'll add LEDS. Well there is like 150 feet of wire in my car now. I'm not sure how long it took cause I did same over the last month off and on. But I had 3 days off in a row and got it all done. I'd say all together a good week.

I was just looking at that site and gave them a call and they said they no longer carry any leather or anything for interiors and all they do now is exterior vinyl.

Well I ordered 4 yards... which was like 1 1/2 yards to much. Guess my math sucks. It was under $60. But to much is better then not enough I guess. Plus I'm doing the front pillars by the window when I figure out how to remove them. If you get 3 yards that is plenty... plus you never know if you might mess up. CYA

that looks good man well done.

Car is being put on hold until further notice. Work will continue pending on if i get the new toy i want or not. I will keep you all posted.

UPDATE ON THE TUNE. It went ok but a few little issues that are causing my performance to be less than expected have shown themselves. Now I have to resolve them when I get the chance and it will be back to PTuning for the finishing touches.

hey man, if you have the sewing pattern for the armrest and shift boot could you give me a copy? I have the exact same leather but its too think to just wrap it around the console. I'd really appreciate some pointers. Thanks man.

How easy was the leather to work with as compared to fabric?

I never worked with fabric so its hard 2 say but I would have to say leather is harder. It really wasn't that hard though. I had no idea what I was doing so if I can do it anyone can. Patience is the key though. If anyone needs help I be glad to help out.
