I was turning on my laptop and thought, "how funny would it be if my car played the Windows theme when I start it?"
Im not quite sure how to go about doing this, haha. Anyone have some ideas? Ill bet some people would want the car say "Welcome" or something, but I think the Windows start up thing would be funny as hell.

that would be cool. but what would make it better is if you could make it so that you can turn it on and off and be able to change what it says. so if a friend wanted to borrow it you could have it say something off the wall. make it so the car is hitting on the driver or something.
Car is being put on hold until further notice. Work will continue pending on if i get the new toy i want or not. I will keep you all posted.
UPDATE ON THE TUNE. It went ok but a few little issues that are causing my performance to be less than expected have shown themselves. Now I have to resolve them when I get the chance and it will be back to PTuning for the finishing touches.

Just remember....for any gimic like this, ANY increase in horsepower or overall engine potency is considered a "horsepower increase."...haha
It could raise it .001 hp and they would claim it as a horsepower increase. Technically, they are right....but realistically, it's worthless.

In my 300zx I had a lady called "Bitchin Betty" that would tell me when my fuel was low, or when doors were open with the car in gear. I bet you could probably rig her up to say stuff in the tC!

Mayo, I thought I had this figured out, but its back to the drawing board. I had picked up a girl that was hitchhiking the last time I went to the ocean and just kept her tied up in the back seat with a manual shock collar. Was working out great, but it turns out that's one mod you have to feed, and mine broke...

1. instead of Windows (yuck, and why?!?), why not the scion sound? the one that ends all the commercials?
2. you would just need a greeting card speaker mechanism that you can record on. use a remote lead (from stereo?) to provide initial power, but shut off immediately after the sound is played.
i'm interested in this. i will let you all know if i find out something!

My car does this, but that's cause my carPC has booted up. Alternatively, I think some of the radar detectors can have sounds customized, and you can just add a .wav file to it.
My car isn't the fastest car out there, but I'll tell ya....
