Im kinda new to most of the modding. So far, on my 07 tC, i have bought an exhaust, and thats it. The next thing im doing to it is a cold air intake, but im gonna start styling it after i get that. what i wanna know is
1)what color for gauges would look best on a flint micah tC
2)where could i get those for cheap

and also,
i would like to paint the interior, but do not have any idea how to do it. help for a noobie please? =] thanks guys

There are TONS of posts on this, do a search. I'm at work otherwise I would get the links for you, but I can answer some questions. For the flint mica, basically any color would look good for the gauges. I went with red because I am doing a whole black/gunmetal(flint)/red theme.

Purple would be another good choise because of the flecks in the flint mica paint. Red and purple would probably be the two best looking colors. Blue would work good too. One that I havent seen in an FM though is orange, maybe try something different?

As for painting your interior, if you want to color match it to the car, that takes a bit more work than what I did. I painted My interior trim a satin black with a matte black clear coat. If you want to go with basic colors like that Krylon makes a spray called Fusion that is made to go with plastic...no sanding needed. Just spray on however many coats of color you want, drying between each coat of course. Then spray on a few layers of whatever clear coat you choose. Make sure to wipe all the surfaces with alcohol first and let them dry to ensure the surfaces are clean before putting on the paint.

Kinda diggin that purple suggestion, I just don't know where you can get purple LED's. The UV ones give off a purple glow, but I wouldn't recommend them due to the different light spectrum and being hard to see.

edit: i'm retarded! you can always put in white led's and then change the color of the gauge with vinyl. It's still early...

I would figure out what kind of painting you're going to do first and then use your gauges to compliment the overall theme.

You can get gauges done through garage1217.com and doctorisotpe.com. There are other places but I can't think of them off the top of the head.

Also, some members will do them for you if you contact them. Squallheart used to do them, but I'm not sure if he still does, but shoot him a PM. Can't hurt to ask
