I know for a fact there are a lot of users that would like to post links and create images, but just don't know how.

I'm going to teach you right now.

(I also suggest you bookmark this post)

One of the first things you'll want to do is make sure your select Parse BBCode from your forum options or before you create a post or codes will not work.









MAKING IMAGES APPEAR

images MUST be a URL to work, sites like Photobucket.com can host a web URL for your image. You can also use the URL provided by our site from large profile images for clubsciontc.com use only.

one of the easiest things to do is making images appear

the code goes as follows:

Code: how to write the tag for a picture
[img]http://www.photobucket.com/picture.jpg[/img]

the code must be closed with a forward slash on the last tag
like so.... [/img]




^the end result

you don't have to worry about making thumbnails anymore, the site will automatically resize your image to fit the page



MAKING COLOR TEXT

Code: Making Color Text Code
[color="orange"]look my text is orange[/color]


which becomes:

look my text is orange





MAKING LARGER TEXT

it's the same as making colors except the command will say SIZE

Code: SIZE COMMAND
[size="20"]BIG TEXT[/size]


and becomes:

BIG TEXT

you can even combine color and size commands but remember to end the code or it will not work

you must use a forward slash / and the correct tag to end the code

think of it as making a code sandwich

do not use the embed code from YouTube, it will not work here

Use the URL code instead

^thanks, most of what I've learned is from other users

---a note about images, you can put HUGE wallpaper sized images and they will be re-sized, but if possible try and shrink it a little bit (optional), this way the images will load faster for everyone.

Photobucket gives you the option to hit edit and resize. I'm sure other photo sites will too.
