I-m not fond of the silver in the interior of the tC. It-s a car, not a laptop. Anyway, I-m repainting the silver bits. Here-s a sneak preview.

yo i wish you would send those pictures to paint, and skew them some. its hard to see any of your photos because i have to stand on the other side of the room to discern anything.

see i told you so! yeah i understand that youre trying to give detail to the texture, but coceptually, its not even there for us to get an idea. i feel like this is conan o brien-s segment -what in the worrrlllddd?- (BOINNGGG!).

its the right side of the center console. the squares are for the mode, front defrost, and rear defrost. the circle is for the temp guage. i really like the texture, it will be interesting to see how it comes out.

ive been giving this some major thought. and doing a job for a friend today sealed the deal for me. he wanted to change his dash, but didnt want it to be permanent. so we vinyl wrapped all his dash pieces, im not talking like the B/S carbon fiber overlays. i hate those cheap things....they look so fake. i mean , wrapped the dash. they look sooo good. cant even tell its not factory. very nice glossy finish to it, so easy to keep clean...and it is very scratch resistant!! im going to do it to mine...that way if i dont like it...i can change it whenever i want without having to worry about, paint thinner, losing factory finish, or any other crap that could go wrong. i used to do paint...but im feelin the vinyl now. however umbrae.... i really have to give you props for that job. i do like that. has a powder coat look to it, yet the color is nice and even. great job!! give us some pics when your done, pics i mean, normal size and of whole dash...lol j/k man. nice job!!

here ya go unseen..... i just took them today. in the daylight. everythingwas black... now we wrapped everything in black vinyl first to give eveything the same gloss. then we went over it with the orange in the places we wanted to accent. here it is. like i said... very high gloss, scratch resistant. and no1. can easily be changed at anytime, with no chemicals!!!

wow, that looks cool.....I-m curious now.......how that would look in the TC. Not sure about the whole vinyl thing, never attemped something like this b4, is it an easy project?? I love the idea of being able to take it off if u get tired of it, instead of have to paint over it again. Is it possibile that whenever u put that in a tc u could do a DIY

i am a production manager at a sign shop. so i do this stuff all day everyday. just have to be able to control your hands and a lil patience, but to answer you question, i can do a diy on this without doing it on a tc first. give me a day or 2. however im going to have it done on my tc this next weekend. so maybe i will wiat till then, cuz then i can do a photo diy. sound good? where are you at repo? ill give you a hand if your sorta close.

Hey, that vinyl looks impressive. Looks much easier than painting. I wonder how the adhesive would hold up in Houston, though.Sorry to make you guys have to actually think about what part of the dash that was. Looks fine on my screen, but then I guess not everyone has a horizontal resolution of 1920. Most forums resize pics to fit the browser window. The paint is Rustoleum Satin Black on the sides, and Rustoleum Textured Black in the center. That Textured paint is fantastic. I got both at Lowe-s. The Satin is a little glossier than I wanted, so I may repaint the sides with flat and then buff it to match the trim piece on the front of the gauge cluster.I-ll keep you updated.

ok ladies and gentlemen. i havent posted the diy yet. only because i made everyone a video. so no i just have to do some editing. i took pics too just in case the video wont work. i did the entire console and inside the gauge cluster. i also found out that the outter cover on the dash for the gauges(the thing you pull off to get the gauges out?) doesnt want to hold vinyl, which really upset me, but im working on it. i think a light scotchbrite pad would do the trick without ruining the plastic or factory finish. ill keep ya posted on that. but here are some pics of what-s done so far. enjoy... and ask all the questions you want. p.s. im doing the doors, vents, -oh shit- bars, mirror, and i think thats it, next.
