Hello all, I'm interested in purchasing the AVN6620, but when i went to crutchfield, they said it would not fit. How do i exactly know if it will not fit, or should i just trust their site? I really want since its the newer model and has really nice features compared to the 5510. Let me know what you guys think or have any information. |

Yeah man it should fit with no problem Also looks like a great unit. One of the only Double Din units that puts out more than 2.2 volts from the RCA's. Nice I would say Go for it!!! |

Well i got it and attempted to install it and found out that the cover won't fit with it. So i removed that and now theres a huge gap all around it that shows the inside. It came with a "faceplate" but it fits behind it kinda and won't fit with the cover. So i gotta create a makeshift cover, i'll try to post some pictures of it so you can see it tomorrow. |

In order to put the unit it with the factory tCover is you have to drill holes on the Factory Bracket. Well if you take off your bracket there are 4 hols that are pre drilled for you to install your unit, well about 1/2 inch from each hole there is a small little (Nipple)lol. If you drill those out and make the hole the same size as the factory holes instead of using the factory holes use the ones you just drilled that should be enough space in order for the tCover to open and close flush with no problem. Ive had to do this in order to get most double din units with buttons or thick screens to fit with the tCover. I'll see if I can post a pic of the brackets. |

I have the Eclipse AVN 5500 in my 06 tc and it went right in. The only time the cover wont close is if the screen is tilted. |

You really dont even need the reverse wire unless you are hooking up a rear cam and want it to come on when put into reverse. Some radios with Nav say they use the reverse wire but how far do you actually drive in reverse to throw your mapping off?
