might just be the natural flow of the car, or any car for that matter, seeing how its winter time and with the cold weather, cars are just bound to make some weird noises such as creaking windows, ticking noises coming from ac/heating vents, dashboard, etc. all of this would be normal. Otherwise, have you recently installed any new mods? maybe something is loose?

if it really sounds like a problem, and you think its under the hood, try to localize the sound more, take a screwdriver, put the handle to your ear and the tip on different parts you think the sound is coming from. it'll amplify the sound and when you hear the specific noise you're talking about, then you've spotted the problem part. old mechanics trick

are you talking about the summer or wintertime? if your talking about summertime, are you located in an area that gets pretty hot and humid? if so, that can just be heat soak, and a car would definitely drag ass due to that.

if your talking about wintertime, your not gassing it during warm up are you? if you have the time in the mornings, let it warm up properly until rpms drops down to normal. car should be running good after that
