I'm looking for a new amp to power 2 10" kicker comp vr subs that peak at 800 watts. Any guesses on an amp that will power those 2 subs and not exceed the alternator output. I got a buddy who exceeded it and now whenever his bass hits his lights dim. Not looking for that to happen. Any help is appreciated. |

^this will probably happen with any amp you run unless you add a high power battery, an higher amp alternator, and/or some capacitors...just don't look at them, and you'll be fine, lol...i had a voltage stabilizer that worked wonders...~! |

What type of voltage stabilizer would you suggest? And any suggestions on an amp? Thanks |

Peak figures are meaningless. For that pair, a monoblock putting 400-500RMS into a single channel would be plenty. To avoid the dimming, upgrade your big three, and look for a Class D amp. The older JBL digital monoblocks are tanks-- tons of underrated power with relatively small amperage requirements. A BP600.1 would get some business done. ![]() Custom parts for your Scion tC: Doctor Isotope dot Com |

^very true...stick to a 2 ohm and anything over 250 watts and you'll be golden...and if you haven't seen dimming lights, just wait a bit more, you will... |
