just finished yesterday my engine bay lighting, let me know what you think..

Here's what i did. I Started at the back removing the back upper firewall panel and drilled with a 3/16 bit at the proper spacing of the LEDs and glue with super glue to inside of the cover, just to temporarily hold in place, then used an epoxy to properly secoure the strip...then attached back to fire wall......it will take about an hour to drill and mount them and take your time and measure before drilling.

Run wires (+ -) to passenger side and crimp on a connector to the new LED and at other end of crimp continue with wires to next location.........all the way around to driver side do this......be sure to use heat shrink tubing over the crimps to keep it from corroding over time from moisture.........

what I did next was hide the wires along the power wires and behind the brake cylinder to fire wall and through the grommet all the other wires are going through..and used lots of zip ties to keep it clean, and black wire loom, then spliced into the interior led switch in my interior that currently controls my lighting, so that way everything now turns on once i flip the switch........Take your time on the install and hide the lights good under the sides........out of site in the daytime.......and all wires too........they put out a lot of light.........and finished it off by adding some super flux leds to fill in some dark areas that the flex strips did not reach.....

Looks good man. I see you used epoxy. I never really thought of doing that. I used zip ties and that worked out pretty well. How many strips did youuse? I have one foot long strip under the cowl, one on each side where the fenders are, two strips attched to the actual bumber so that my grills light up, and one on the floor underneath the engine so it illuminates the header. So the entire engine bay is lit up and it looks really sweet. Also I see that you just tapped into your interior lights which was a great idea. I just ran it to a switch that I have in the empty spots next to the steering wheel, so I can flip it on. Great job and clean install!!!

Putting them in is not that bad, i used the flexible led strips from oznium, they come with adhesive backing that sticks pretty well, it just takes lotts of patciece in the placement and running of the wires, but what really took a while was removing that firewall upper foam panel and drilling out individual led sized holes then from the inside of the panel insert the leds along the strip, so that all is showing is the leds coming out of the holes, but they are mounted so far back on that panel, even if i tried i cant see the leds, only the glow
