Well I want to drop my car. Pretty low. I ran through the threads for some quick info and it seems everyone peffers S techs for more drop than the H. Also is there anything else out there that will drop it more than the S. One more thing. Hows the install on these things. Id like to do it myself but if it requires major work I wont bother.

the S-techs are lower then the H-techs but from what i understand the hotchkis are lower than the S-techs. as for the install i didnt do mine myself but watched my friend install my S-techs and even though he's done them before it took him 3 and a half hours of hard work. Also, the rear springs were a lot more difficult for him then the fronts. id suggest having someone that knows how to do it install them if ur not totally sure you can put them on properly

http://www.titanmotorsports.com/suspension5.html Hotchiks are cheaper here. If the hot chiks provide a lower drop imma go with them. anyone with them like the way they ride?

why does that site say the htechs drop is:

Front Spring Ride Height = 1.06" (26mm)
Rear Spring Ride Height = .91" (23mm)

thats weird. I always thought it was 1.9 in the fron 1.5 in the rear? Correct me if im wrong.

looks more they got the specs for a another set of h-techs for another car... just a stupid mistake..

but yeah.. spring installation isn't something a novice should try without some help... even with a good set of tools and a shop to be able to work in... it still takes me at least 2.5 hours..

for those that are looking to do them... even for people who know how to install springs on other cars... doing one for the first time on a tC... i'd reserve 4-5 hours.

Why would you want to drop any lower than S-techs? I have them and it is a sweet drop. A perfect drop in my opinion and I think it looks a lot cleaner than H-techs or TRD. But I agree, installing the springs is a real PITA and if you don't know what you are doing, you should have it done. There are a lot of different spring compressors out there and not all of them are the safest. A buddy of mine tried doing his and ended up with a broken nose and fractured jaw because the spring shot out. So pay the extra hundred bucks to get them installed.

Ohhhhh, that could be why. And it really takes that long to install springs? I plan on dropping off my car and getting them installed. Where should I go?
