Pretty good write-up but some of it is outdated.. Like the part about turtle wax... LOL. If you insist on buying your car care products from Walmart(not the best idea) Meguires is probably the best, followed by mothers. Wax is better to be bought on line, and there are many options for a nice wax.. I use Groitt's Garage products on my car most of the time, because I get to use them for free, haha, but they work really well. I have tried Klasse, P21S wax, groitt's garage, and many more, but those are my favorite. I like to use a buffer, usually a Porter Cable or the new UDM : http://www.autopia-carcare.com/udm-1000-na.html Some good links to products: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/klasse1.html http://www.autopia-carcare.com/p21-127.html http://www.autopia-carcare.com/son-pershine-kit.html |

another good tip for making the most out of a car wash is to dry your door jams after you wash your car. It takes a little longer, but if you open all the doors, trunk, hood, & even gas door and dry them thoroughly, your car will not get as many runs/water spots after washing. You would be suprised how much water makes its way into your door jams & if you don't dry them, the water will work its way out at high speeds! |
