I never seen anyone on here - correct me if I am wrong - with DRT rotors.

I did a search for inexpensive rotors and I came apon this web site

http://www.designrt.net/

you can also ebay them and they have seriously cheap prices for all four rotor packages for are tC's

you can pick

Slotted - Drilled or Drilled\Slotted

I ordered today 4 Slotted Rotors, Powder Coated with black and silver.

If I am the 1st with these rotors I'll be the test rat.

haha

I also got Green Stuff, front and back pads to go along with it.

Tons of Pictures when I get the stuff and when I install them.

Comments about this stuff appreciated.

I hope these work out for you.

I bought years ago Slotted Rotors from a Company just like the one mentioned. They stated the rotors they manufactured were "equivalent" to Brembo, Wilwood, etc..

I bought them for about $200 for all 4 rotors and got some Morse Ceramic Composite pads.

The rotors wore so fast and the good pads just dug right into them. The metal was soft even though it was stated to be cadmium plated.

Those brakes lasted about 4 months and were completely shot. I am very skeptical now and will only buy namebrand rotors cause so.

But hope you have better luck.

I paid 250 for the front set up from Rotora.

DRT abbreviation itself is kind of scaring me..
Waiting for the review, though.

Good luck with these. The metal seems very thin in the vents and the slots seem pretty cheaply cut into the surface. They are very short slots so not really sure how much good they would do.

Review?

I got these rotors and pads on today!!!! FINALLY!!!

Let me start by saying, this set-up is really good.

The bite is aggresive

I am going to start an on-going review of this set up over the next few weeks every 500-1000 miles and see how they do

but they feel awesome on the pedal....hard to explain but its all good

pics of them on tomorrow

A good rule of thumb to remember is to never buy cheap brakes or tires. One keeps you on the road, the other stops you from plowing into someone else.

I've seen cheap rotors crack and shatter before. Never a good thing to happen.

The "bite" that you are feeling is most likely from the pads and not the rotors. IIRC, doesn't EBC have a brake-in period for their brake pads?

the rotors seem fine

ebc has a brake in period, not that long though

a good thing to do is "set" the pads

if anyone knows how to do this then u know what i am talking about

Bed in period is the most important part of any brake job.

2 slow stops from 30 mph to 0 mph.
3 moderate stops from 50 mph to 0 mph.
2 moderately hard (but not lock up) stops from 60 mph to 0 mph.
Pull over for 15-20 minutes and the heat/bed in process has been complete. Drive the next 500 miles moderately and unless you have to, do not lock the brakes up.
