Hey guys,

First time poster! I have a 2007 Scion tC and I bought some taillights off of EBAY.

Can anyone recommend a place in the San Fernando Valley that can install the lights and recommend the correct bulbs and what not?

I asked the Scion in Northridge and they said they won't do aftermarket parts.

Appreciate the help!

believe it or not, the install for tail lights are a piece of cake.

I would say go ahead and do it yourself

here is a link I found on a Google search

To be honest, I thought about it.... but I am so bad with things like this that I don't even want to mess around with my car. Rather play it safe and pay someone professional to do it.

alright, but if you must pay some one, do not pay more than 30 -40 bucks.

Definitely not looking to pay more than that for sure.

Thanks for the help Orin.

hit up local meets.. and ask around.. there's a few people probably willing to help you out.

you don't need a "professional" to install it.

Seriously! The fun part about modding a car is installing the parts. In my opinion paying someone to do the work takes the fun out of it. It almost seems as though buying AM parts is pointless. It is so easy to install tailights that anyone, even someone that has absolutely no mechanical knowledge, can do it. Take the risk. Trust me you will learn something and when it is all said and done, you have the sense of accomplishment. Trust me that feels good!!!

You're in Northridge? I moved down from there in April. The install is pretty easy for those types of things, I would suggest just hitting up a meet. Some SoCal guys from here and SL have a meet every other Sunday in Orange County, I'm sure some of those guys would help you out for free. Next meet is next Sunday I think. So if you want to hold off on it till then. Not sure if I am going to make it or not, but if I do I'd be willing to help ya out.

Here's the link to that thread:

Thanks Raven!

I won't be able to make this next one because I'll be up North for the holidays but I'll definitely see if I can catch one of the ones in January.

I'll let you know if I make it out.

I'm not really trying to "mod" my car. I was just looking for some new taillights to make my car look just a little bit nicer and different from the seemingly countless Flint Mica Scions driving around the San Fernando Valley these days. lol.

If anyone asks me about the lights, I'll just say "I thought they looked good so I bought them and got them put on". If they ask for more info beyond that, I'll just say I don't know. I'm not claiming to be a car expert by any means so I doubt anyone will push the subject if you know what I mean.

I'm not really looking to make my Scion into anything spectacular. Just looking to make the car look a little nicer and asking people on this board to give me some advice. That's all. =)
