A 7 inch wheel can only hold a 225mm wide tire at MOST. If you have a 245 on there, it's bubbling out to an unsafe range and you are risking a blow out badly. ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. http://clubsciontc.com/fo...-rims--5x100-pattern.html |

to run anything wider then 225 you need wider rim, 235 require at least 7,5 and 245 at least 8 inch. |

you'll be fine, we have 245 on 17inch rims all the time in the shop, just be careful around curbs. i've have 205 and 195 on the car and it still a nice ride |

What people "CAN" do and what is "SAFE" are 2 totally different things. Sure, you can stretch a 245 on a 7" rim....the fact is that it's not safe b/c it's putting added stress on the integrity of the tire. More stress equals more weak spots. ![]() Complaining is futile when you supported the victory. http://clubsciontc.com/fo...-rims--5x100-pattern.html |

235's for me. Car is being put on hold until further notice. Work will continue pending on if i get the new toy i want or not. I will keep you all posted. UPDATE ON THE TUNE. It went ok but a few little issues that are causing my performance to be less than expected have shown themselves. Now I have to resolve them when I get the chance and it will be back to PTuning for the finishing touches. Yeah, I'm running 235/40/18's on the stock upgrade enkei's, and I wouldn't go any wider then that. You really shouldn't go more then one size higher or lower then the recommended. ............... ![]() ![]() ![]() Search or one of these adorable kittens WILL DIE! |

Wow that is not safe AT ALL! I'm running a 225/35 on my front 8" rim and a 235/40 on the rear 9". 245 tires are for 8.5+ rims man. Be careful driving on those as you risk the tire rolling off the rim due to stretching them to fit. ![]() ![]() ![]() Are you in SoCal? Come to our CStC meets! Located in Socal?
