Hey everyone,

Just joined this forum since I just got my tC yesterday. 2008 AT stock in Black Sand Pearl. Literally bought it last minute at the dealership and they kept it open for an hour longer to finish the purchase. I don't even have any audio in it yet! I need to go back to get the navigation installed during the week.

Originally was looking to get an 04-05 Subaru WRX, but in the end I think I really got the best car for the price.

So, any suggestions for some few simple mods? I'm thinking a new shift knob to start and I don't know what else from there...

Yeah Welcome! tC > WRX , haha. Good choice.

As for simple mods, try starting off with a short throw shifter, then move up to intake. Have fun.

What do you think of the AVIC-D3 vs. the stock navigation? I have to bring my car back in tomorrow and I told them I'd have a think about whether or not to have the stock navi put in or not. I did see the AVIC-D3 at Best Buy yesterday, though, but I'm not sure about iPod support and all that.

well i cant personally comment on the stock Navi, but i can tell you that the AVIC is awesome, the navigation is right on, video is crystal clear, and its got great and easy to use features, and your able to add on to it, like the bluetooth, which i have..makes using a cellphone much easier, and lets not forget the price..very good, oh and i pod support is perfect

Were you able to hook up the stock subwoofer to this head unit? I'm wondering if the previous problem hooking up an aftermarket head unit with the factory subwoofer exists with the '08 or if there have been changes made?

Welcome to the site fellow Chicagoan :-) I stay out near the southside (well I used to, I live in Alabama now, but I'll be back in April!!!) and have a 06 BSP...I'm trying to figure out the same thing with hooking up the factory sub to an aftermarket radio but can't find any answers :-(
