Well, early last week I took my tires and old rims to BMW and had a tech help me mount them. I then saw we had a Nitro machine so I filled them up with Nitrogen just for fun. Well, the do ride slightly smoother but the overall firmness of the tire is what's impressive. The tire does not sag any on the sidewalls and I'm at 32 F, 29 R. Usually, there's a slight sag and even with a harder sidewall tire, there's a little flex. These are holding their own.

As luck would have it, 3 days after putting them on and storing my others in the basement...IT SNOWS!. We got 6 inches and let me tell you....I'm glad I had these babies on. The tC just pulled through the snow and I didn't slip going up hills from stops either. I would highly recommend these tires for winter driving.

thats what i need right there. trying to drive in the snow with a set of 235's isn't fun.

Car is being put on hold until further notice. Work will continue pending on if i get the new toy i want or not. I will keep you all posted.

UPDATE ON THE TUNE. It went ok but a few little issues that are causing my performance to be less than expected have shown themselves. Now I have to resolve them when I get the chance and it will be back to PTuning for the finishing touches.

Those are some sweet looking tires. Haha, those treads look like I could stick my head in em!

So does it feel weird going back to the stock rims?

<<<still rolling on stock rims and stock tires. We got 4 inches up here this past wednesday and It sucked. Was in first so I couldnt downshift to slow down anymore, had the brakes locked and was still sliding...had to steer to the side and into the snow packed against the curb to stop and keep from rear-ending the person in front of me.

Those tires are looking nice

I like the feel of these tires/rims more than my others (other than the fact that the others allow me to corner MUCH faster and harder). These are a bit faster rolling so I can definately feel more of the acceleration and top end on them and they are much quieter. Oh well......they are for snow, not racing

I had no idea snow tires were made in such low profile. I thought I'd see your tC with gigantic donuts on them or something.

those winter tires are slick, they look like they'll dig into the snow and ice pretty well.

those are sooo expensive...138 EACH!!! should I get different rims AND tires or should I just buy good tires for the rims I got now for the winter? Would there be a difference using different rims?
