auto question

 Thanks to my mom i have 08 tc Auto, and i want to know if im doing good with this, i was racing a civic ofcourse i won and i did this.
i puted in L then when the rpm was about 7 i puted in 2 (2 is second and thirt ) after that i puted in 3 then in D(normal) is that bad for the trasmission? or other way to do it better?

 its not "good" but hey its your car. lol

your better of just letting the tranny do its thing, or maybe revving up in neutral and dropping it into Drive.

some people power brake on auto's but i'm not sure how thats done...

wow that was more intense than that one time I forgot how to sit down...

 s#@$it my mom got my tc 1 month ago , i will see to trade it for a manual. i think is the best way, if i want to start racing

 depending on how clean youve kept it, ive heard when you drive it off the lot it loses like 1k in value, not sure if its true but..

 They arent going to just let you return it and get another one. Once you drive it off the lot its used. And did you finance it, b/c then you will still have to pay that off. And I wouldnt be racing if your daily driver anyway. Things break when you race alot so its better to have a car you race like the mustang im getting and a daily driver ( the tc). My tc is an auto and I race it. But i went over a bump to fast and snapped the piece that holds my intake in place.

I didnt see that before. You are hurting the car if you are shifting it that high, especially an automatic. The redline is only 6.2

 Oh man, I didn't see 7000 rpms either. I really hope that was a typo. "Shifting" at 7000 rpms will do a world of bad.

 if the redline in the tc is 6,200rpms, threadstarter obviously read it wrong, or mustve been a typo.

to answer your question: no neutral drops, no ghetto shifting. leave it in drive and floor it.

as for trading it in for a manual, go back to the dealer you got the car from. 680 miles is still fairly new. how many months have you had it? if its a cool dealer, they might give you a really good trade in seeing how you just purchased it, and merely want to trade for a different one. if it works in your favor, you might have to pay out about 500-1,000 bucks. anything more than that, fuk it, keep the car.

 best bet, leave it in drive, i forgot what those gears are for in auto but do some research.

 gears in an auto are for engine braking and hauling stuff where the normal shift points don't work well
