ok so i have a habit of leaving my sunroof vented without knowing it lol. i was thinking of installer somesort of contact switch buzzer, with like one contact on the wind deflector, and the other on the sunroof base where the wind deflector would close onto so they would touch when closed. now, if that is possible, i would need to power it from a source that is only active when the car is off otherwize im going to have an annoying buzzing sound when i drive with the sunroof open lol. i was checking the car, and i was thinking of wiring it to the dome light circuit, cuz that only comes on when u first open the car door, or when u take out the key, so technicly if the sunroof is still open, it would buzz when i take out the key, and stop buzzing when i close the roof is this possible at all? |

i guess i would need something like this: http://www.smarthome.com/7113.html BUT A HELL OF A LOT SMALLER! and basicly wire it up: dome light power circuit -> into one contact switch -> power wire on buzzer so when the contacts are seperated, power is sent to the buzzer |

Haha, I was gonna ask, how you gonna mount that? Anyway, I think the idea is awesome. If you can, write up a DIY. ![]() "gonna wash my car before i take a nap.. can't rest well knowing i've got the entire cast of A Bug's Life on my bumper" - Vicious -- Want to post a "For Sale" thread? oh of course i will write up a DIY for my fellow members haha. i just need to find the right size contact switch. ive seen some that are like the size of a nickel for one side, and then the primary switch with the wires is slightly larger. does any1 know how much space is there between the wind deflector and the pieces under it when its closed? |

you might could check with someone who specializes in alarm systems for homes. I'm sure there are things you MIGHT could use that someone who does alarms would have. Kinda like when you open a window in a house and the alarm can detect it. Hell if i know. |
