fading lights on stock headunit

 I have an 05 tC with that 6-cd headunit that has the annoying buttons for volume control and whatnot...

anyway, the '4' and '5' buttons on the cd/radio menu thing (sorry im not sure what they are called so im hoping you understand)are fading... as in, at night, the lights behind those two buttons glow are a very very pale amber... my other buttons and everything light up fine

i did have my original headunit exchanged with a new one by the dealership because of error 4 or something with the CD player

anyone know why this is? my 32k mile warranty is up so im scared im SOL but... just wondering if anyone knows what the deal is

 lol i was scared id get that response

hm... maybe ill try bugging the dealership saying that they replaced the headunit and it has already started malfunctioning... dont think i'll get away with that but worth a shot.

maybe this means ill have to get around to getting these lights swapped to blue or green... maybe ill look into that

 yea maybe something might come out of it .. but it all depends .. i mean if they replaced it once and its havin probs they might take it into consideration .. but i dont know .. dealerships are pretty stingy on things! but good luck and let us know what they say!
