So yesturday at work we got a 02 civic hb si with nx dry nitrous system. this car was a trade in and the dealership didnt want it in the car and i was the lucky one to get it. Should i put this in the tc? I have every thing i need and the kit works fine.

You can put it on, but I wouldn't go any higher then a fifty shot. Not a fan of dry systems.

The bottle size doesn't determine horsepower shot.

You should definitely put it on the tc. 50hp is a good shot to use dry, as long as you place the fogger behind the MAF so it can pick up the nitrous reading.

The shot is determined by jet size. If you lost the jet or aren't sure the one in the kit is the size you need, look up jet size calculators on the internet and buy the correct size. Essentially, the most you'll be paying is ~5 dollars with shipping. You bought a nitrous kit for 5 dollars.

You don't know how lucky you are, honestly.

Theres two lines going into one nozzle that was in his intake. The bottle is almost empty and i've called two shops and both said they cant help me out. only thing i have leavet to take off is the purge that shoots the nitrous out of his hood. I might put on the kit today after i get the springs on

It won't hurt the engine. 50hp shot is a perfect size for a little extra "passing power."

You say it had two lines going into the nozzle? This would make it a wet kit by my understanding. Post a picture of the nozzle if you can.

Walp

Dry kits have a nozzle with one line going into them. That one line supplies the nitrous oxide. It's usually mounted before the MAF so the car's computer can compensate for fuel.

Wet kits have a nozzle with two lines. One of the lines goes to the nitrous tank, and the other splices into the fuel line. Wet kits deliver fuel and nitrous into the intake at the same time.

You might be thinking of direct port kits when you say "lines hooked up to the block." Those go into the runners of the intake manifold and are very complicated to install and remove.

Don't sell the kit! Nitrous is addictive and fun!

You could probably get in the neighborhood of $400 for it though.

yeah like they said if it has 2 lines it has to be a wet kit. My dry kit has 1 line and thats just for the intake. Also its prob about a 10lb bottle which costs me about 40 to fill completely here in VA.

You mean in "front" of the MAF,(as in on the side the filter sits) a little mistake like that could blow some ones engine man...and dry systems use "nozzles" wet systems use foggers...

wow that was more intense than that one time I forgot how to sit down...

yeah you can run the line underneath the spare tire through an open hole and right under the car and just zip tie it all the way.

It always confused me when somebody said before and than somebody else said after. My nozzle is placed in the actual intake rubber tubing about 6 inches infront of throttle body.

OK to clear up any confusion as to behind, in front, upstream, downstream, upside down and backwards:

DRY KITS: place the nozzle so that the nitrous shoots through the MAF.

WET KITS: place the "fogger" so it DOESN'T spray through the MAF.

And yea, by me it's 37.50 to fill a 10lb bottle.
