 honestly, i've never heard of that tranny swap, and don't know why you would want to do it. other than to be able to say you have a 6 speed tranny. the gearing would be totally different, wouldn't be properly matched to the tc's powerband, and would probably drive like crap.

that said...anything is possible... with a good amount of money?

you lookin to spend about 5 grand on this right?

 I doubt that the Celica’s trany will even mount up with the tCs engine.

ive heard of people doing it but havent seen it done. I think if u did it you would def regret the torque loss...your only lookin at 130 instead of 160 on a heavier car...but on the other side reving to 8k would be awesome! and so would the instant 20+ hp gain and 6 speed transmissions mean better gas milage
