alright guys, i have a bad a/f sensor on my exhaust manifold as i finally decided to drop in my header...turns out 40,000 miles later, the sensor is a little more than heated onto the bung, is there any way to take off the manifold with the sensor still on? do i just need to forceably pull off the heat-shield...if so i possibly could buy a new one and leave that one on the manifold for the future....nevertheless, this is a little more effort and $$ than i wanted to spend for a mere 10 ponies, so if anyone is interested, i'll give them up for $170 plus shipping, i know i need pics but this is more of a question than a pending sale, however i will post some pics later when i get home cuz i'm sure the thread will get locked, sorry mods... |

That sucks; but 40,000 miles would weld them together. I had only 6000 miles on my car when I put the header on and I head a really hard time taking the senor off and then I had to rethread it as best I could. 2008 G37 OB Sport 6MT... 2007 335I 4DR... |

it was coming off but then it stripped and i got frustrated, haven't driven my tc in about a week so i just gave up, however today i'm either gonna retighten it the best i can or take it off completely, the sensor doesn't seem to have much thread to take off anyways, does anyone know if i can take the manifold off with the sensor still on it....ceas, orin...? |

I don’t really remember where the other end of the o2 sensor goes. The O2 sensor should be able to just unplug so that you can keep that one on the stock manifold and buy a new one for the header. 2008 G37 OB Sport 6MT... 2007 335I 4DR... |
