Whats up all, I am getting my hands on a brand new Buddy 2 full body kit tomorrow night. I found it online from some guy. He told me 300 bucks and its mine, I said 250 he said 275 so i got 25 bucks off. Totally cool. The kit retails from KGS web site for 400 bucks...with it shipped its obviously more..probably another 100 or 150 so dollars easily. (And thats not express shipping, that personal, freight 6-8 days or so , then it gets lost, type of deal. So I scored, I went to check it out the only thing he took out of the box was the front bumper its in perfect condition brand new the other 3 pieces are wrapped in the orginal box and everything. For a second I thought to myself...is this kit "hot" (stolen), nah...who cares? ;) I'm going to keep posting on this thread, the steps I took to install the kit, any problems I run into etc. Everything from start to finish with pictures (that I will host on my web site and link them here). If everyone is not interested in this, I will or someone? most likely will just delete this thread no big deal. Kit will be installed, this week hopefully and painted within the next month or so. Anyone have any suggestions on what kind of spoiler would look good with this kit...I thought no spoiler? then thought of one..I don't know? Get back with ideas, feedback, do people like this kit? etc... --> Buddy 2 (KGS) All feedback appreciated. Thanks- http://www.scionlife.com/profile/eviltc_004 |

If done correctly it can look alright. But its a bad fitting kit and will be expensive to get PERFECT. I had a close friend try multiple times to get it installed correctly. It has alot of fitment issues. And please tell me you arent installing it and then driving it while unpainted? Post up pics when its done. Should look good. Good price by the way. |

I read all about fitment issue's....with a million different kits especially this one. I'm very handy and my friend works in a custom body shop...should be no problems and if there is any we'll figure it out. Yes, I will be driving it around for 2 weeks until it get painted...I don't care what people think once its painted it'll look great. When i get this rolling I'll let people know exactly every problem I encounter, but since my friend is skilled and has a lot of know how...it might be easier for us then some other people. I'll get back in about a week when its installed. http://www.scionlife.com/profile/eviltc_004 |

you have to get it on the car and fitted b4 any paint sanding - fitting etc if u paint it, then go back and start cutting something or sanding this ....ur ruining the paint and wasting more money http://www.scionlife.com/profile/eviltc_004 |

A few weeks isn't too bad. Props for taking the time to make sure it fits perfect, it's hard for college kids like us to have the time and money to do it perfect real fast. Make sure you post up lots of pics. Good luck. You've got a date rapist face. |

Well if you guys have the know how, then thats good and will save ALOT of money. As far as the driving around unpainted, read through posts on this site and every other scion site and everyone makes fun of the civics running around with unpainted kits, same thing here man. its all good, because it is your car, but it just looks so tacky, in my humble opinion. best of luck!! |

^^^ i think you should've gotten wheels first, 'cause when you have the body kit installed it would look hella weird. Because the fenders are gonna be bigger and your wheels are so small. It's not going to look good IMO. But i could be wrong. |

whats up all ok heres the scoop on the installation of the buddy club 2 body kit its a pain in the @$$, BUT!, with water, food, some energy drinks 2 friends, and cursing up a storm we got the kit on, some work has to be done from a body shop, it looks like butt right now, but some slight modification from a body shop because we just dont have the right tools to bend the front bumper properly a little bit around the head lights...it then will be perfect the side skirts and back bumper is a piece of cake! the hardest part was the front bumper i am going to a body shop and paint shop friday to scope out prices for both, once its painted and looks sweet i will post pictures unless someone wants to see what it looks like as of now? we started at 11am finished 8pm haha, but it was fun even though it was frustrating but thats apart of it -mike http://www.scionlife.com/profile/eviltc_004 |

I didnt respond because I didnt want it to see like I was questioning you. but I guess you want responses. It wasnt an easy install was it? Deffinetly not something that can be done completely alone at the house. I hope a bodyshop can get it right and make you happy for a decent price. I have seen this kit break alot of wallets and have people really unhappy down the line. I dont see why the company cant make the fitment better, considering its coming out of a mold. best of luck man, but I saw this coming. |

nah man i am happy anything with a car isnt easy to be more specific the back bumper went on like stock.....like a champ side skirts were the same thing...champions it was all the front bumper that made me curse up a storm but after some sanding and yoga....jk no yoga i got it on and it looks good but i want it amazing...my buddy's father owns a shop it won't brake my wallet....thankgod...i mean if something its so small and slighty off with the front bumper he'll fix it somehow also that kit is not falling off, i fit it into all stock screw holes using L-brackets, especially the back bumper u can whack it with a sledge hammer it isn't coming off, and the side skirts are fitted into the exact places the stock was so there on tightly now for the front bumper haha.... its held on dam good, but i am not satisfied i drive the speed limit now and i wont test it just yet until the body shop has its way with it... i am going to the shop friday, i'll get back soon with more details... i love a good challenge so i'm still fine with all this i expected it anyway -mike PS: i won't buy another kit cuz it will maybe fit on better, i'll buy what i like and make it fit http://www.scionlife.com/profile/eviltc_004 |
